MEET THE DESIGNER

Hello - my name is Lydia and I am the creator and Principal Designer of Tangerine Designs. I am based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland which has been my home since childhood.

While the Sunshine Coast is where my heart is, I have also lived internationally which has influenced and fuelled my passion for design.

Living in Melbourne is certainly where it all began - the terraced Victorian homes, historic buildings and the vivid arts and culture scene really kick-started my love affair with all things design.

Since then, I have lived in Southern California and Canada, where I drew inspiration from the Spanish-mission homes of So-Cal to the forest cabins of Whistler. These experiences, along with many others, have honed my skills and expanded my palate to create an earthy and sophisticated style.

In my down time you can find me at the local farmers market, by the beach, hiking in the hinterland, searching for the best croissant in town or planning my next overseas adventure. I’m a nature lover to my core and this certainly flows into my design aesthetic and overall lifestyle.

As a qualified interior designer with 8 years’ experience across the construction and design industry, my belief is that the design journey should be an exciting and stress-free process.
